Project Definition -
This is a project to re-design a commerical website which was given by lecturer randomly - website of Yong Sheng Confectionery (http://www.yongsheng.com.my/). The main purpose of redesigning is to imrpove the current layout, aesthetic and practicality of the website but not changing the company identity and logo. Research will be done based on the behaviour and need of the target audience when browsing the website. The scope of the redesign is to increas the traffic and usage of users into Yong Sheng Confectionery website. We are giving 8 weeks to finish at least 8 pages of design and coding(HTML page).

Client Site's Analysis -
Company Background
Yong Sheng Confectionery is a confectionery manufacturers in the southern region of Malaysia that focuses in the production of quality wife cakes, moon cakes, cookies, pastries and hampers. It was established in 1952 in Muar, Johor.

Current Site's Analysis Goals
- fusion of eastern and western design to bring out an elegant to bring out the baba nyonya feeling rather than just safe but not interesting design
- scrollbar navigation is confusing as it blends in real well with the design
- building a community among customers to ensure their trust and to gain confidence
- always keep promotion updated
- give an identity to Nando's Malaysia
- more friendly user
- simpler with interesting content
- list more about the product, and service that they provide

Short & Long Term Site Goals
short term goal :
- updates on more promotion with print-out discount vouchers.
- current events that happening in the company
- set their website theme according to different festivals and happenings to show that they are concern towards different races and cultures of their audience.
long term goal :
- make sure the return of the user and customers and their support to the company.
- customers to continue to support and communicate with the company. Building confidence and trust from the customers.

- target audience are those who love wife cakes, mooncakes, traditional cookies and pastries
- age : 20 - 40, because they know how to use internet, spend most time with computer and no time for family or they are overseas.

- as a manufacturer of premium cookies, mooncakes and frozen dough.
- they also own cafe chain in Malaysia
- fonts too small, hard to read.
- lousy pictures, not attractive, look like those illegal chinese toy factories
- but mooncake images are better.

- they manufactures and supplies mooncakes, assortment of cookies and pastries
- all the products also come with very attractive packaging, with a concept behind every year
- very nice design (website), but too small.

- besides restaurants, they also sell mooncakes and homemade traditional biscuits
- their mooncakes and traditional biscuits are certified HALAL by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia

What is a "Celebutante"?

- It usually applies to young women expected to inherit a fortune, like Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie who have become celebrities because of their riches, and not necessarily because of demonstrated talent. On the other hand, young actresses like Lindsay Lohan who have given excellent performances in the past and are sitting on pretty fortunes may also be considered a celebutante.

Mood Board 01 is more luxury and glamourus.

This is inspired by all those high-brand, like Louis Vitton, Chanel, Prada, Fendi and so on, the tv series, Gossip Girl, 90210, The O.C, and the book - The It Girl.

The design is more simple and clean.

Mood Board 02 is more to femenin, pink, and girly.

The reason why i choose this direction is basically from a girl's point of view(most of the girl).

Most of the girl like pink, strawberries, cherrie, cupcakes, more femenin stuff.

I personally prefer the 1st mood board, 'cause most of the high-brand are the fashion icon of all of the girl, and i dont really comfortable with those pinky stuff and those pinky princess. But the 2nd theme can be also a very challanging theme for me because i didn try things like this before.

Once upon a time. there is a gal name Elizabeth Bathory. she is from a sad family, som of her family dabbled in the black arts, diabolism, lesbianism, and habitual promiscuity. so by the age 11, she was betrothed, and at age 15 she married Count Ferencz Nadasdy. after dun knw how many years, she got 4 children but she dun really care bout thm. wat she care is only her beauty..very vain n oso over..
She got nth to do everyday, her husband dun care bout her, she dun wan her children either...
so her only activitie is beating and torturing her young female servants.

her husband died in 1600. so she became the true mistress of her isolated domain.
she do whatever she want, sent all her children to her mother-in-law and relatives and she was 40 d.
she wan to be young n beauty. but how?
One day her latest maid somehow angered her and in a fit of fury, the Countless struck the unfortunate girl across the face. Blood poured from the maid’s nose and spattered Elizabeth’s hand. After wiping it away, she was sure her flesh looked smoother. Not wasting a single moment, she ordered her manservant to kill the maid and drain her blood into a tub so Elizabeth could wash with it.
soon, she ordered more unmarried young lady to be brought to the dungeons, juz 4 her young medicine.
she did tis for more thn 10 years, but ppl dun dare to tell.
they buried those death body at the middle of the nite, n tryin to look for new virgin for Elizabeth.

artistoratic young women are different wit normal peasant girls. they are educated, etiquette and good manners. so whn a artistoratic young women was lost, her family suspicions to soar. carelessness of elizabeth only make the authorities to wonder what was really going on at castle.
soon, she tossing the death bodies to the wolves. but, ppl still found out.

After the pixels, story time!!

We need 2 stories for the assignemnt, first story is about bloody mary.

According to the legend, you have to stand in a bathroom, with one candle lit and say the name “Bloody Mary” into the mirror three times in a row. It is only the bravest of children who would attempt to do this, because the story says this will summon her ghost.
If you see her ghostly face in the mirror, it could have one of the following terrible consequences:
1. Your eyes being ripped out and your face horribly scarred.
2. Being found dead with claw marks all over your face and body
3. Disappearing mysteriously from the bathroom and ending up trapped in the mirror with the ghost for eternity.
You could also be driven insane or drop dead on the spot.
The history of the chanting game is based on mixed up legends and history that over the years have become the main basis for the story surrounding the urban legend.
The case of Elizabeth Báthory inspired numerous stories during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The most common motif of these works was that of the countess bathing in her victims' blood in order to retain beauty or youth.
Eighteenth and 19th century writers liberally added or omitted elements of the narrative. When all continue to admire and praise Psyche's beauty but none desire her as a wife, Psyche's parents consult an oracle, which tells them to leave Psyche on the nearest mountain, for her beauty is so great that she is not meant for man. But then Zephyrus, the west wind, carries Psyche away to a fair valley and a magnificent palace where she is attended by invisible servants until night falls and in the darkness of night the promised bridegroom arrives and the marriage is consummated. Cupid visits her every night to make love to her, but demands that she never light any lamps, since he does not want her to know who he is.
Cupid even allows Zephyrus to take Psyche back to her sisters and bring all three down to the palace during the day, but warning that Psyche should not listen to any argument that she should not try to discover his true form. The two jealous sisters tell Psyche, then pregnant with Cupid's child, that rumor is that she had married a great and terrible serpent who would devour her and her unborn child when the time came for it to be fed. They urge Psyche to conceal a knife and oil lamp in the bedchamber, to wait till her husband was asleep, and then to light the lamp and slay him at once if it is as they said. Psyche sadly follows their advice. In the light of the lamp Psyche recognizes the fair form on the bed as the god Cupid himself. However, she accidentally pricks herself with an arrow, and is consumed with desire for her husband. She begins to kiss him, but as she does, a drop of oil falls from her lamp onto Cupid's chest and wakes him. He flies away, and she falls from the window to the ground, sick at heart.
Psyche then finds herself in the city where one of her jealous elder sisters lives. She tells her what had happened, then tricks her sister into believing that Cupid has chosen her as a wife instead. She later meets her other sister and deceives her likewise. Each returns to the top of the peak and jumped down eagerly, but Zephyrus does not bear them and they fall to their deaths at the base of the mountain.
Psyche searches far and wide for her lover, finally stumbling into a temple to Ceres where all is in slovenly disarray. As Psyche is sorting and clearing, Ceres appears, but refuses any help but advice, saying Psyche must call directly on Venus, the jealous shrew that caused all the problems in the first place. Psyche next calls on Juno in her temple, but Juno, superior as always, says the same. So Psyche finds a temple to Venus and enters it. Venus orders Psyche to separate all the grains in a large basket of mixed kinds before nightfall. An ant takes pity on Psyche and with its ant companions separates the grains for her.
Venus is outraged at her success and tells her to go to a field where golden sheep graze and get some golden wool. A river-god tells Psyche that the sheep are vicious and strong and will kill her, but if she waits until noontime, the sheep will go to the shade on the other side of the field and sleep; she can pick the wool that sticks to the branches and bark of the trees. Venus next asks for water from the Styx and Cocytus flowing from a cleft that is impossible for a mortal to attain and is also guarded by great serpents. This time an eagle performs the task for Psyche. Venus, outraged at Psyche's survival, claims that the stress of caring for her son, made depressed and ill as a result of Psyche's lack of faith, has caused her to lose some of her beauty. Psyche is to go to the Underworld and ask Persephone, the queen of the Underworld, for a bit of her beauty in a box that Venus gave to Psyche. Psyche decides that the quickest way to the Underworld is to throw herself off some high place and die and so she climbs to the top of a tower. But the tower itself speaks to her and tells her the route through Tanaerum that will allow her to enter the Underworld alive and return again, as well as telling her how to get by Cerberus by throwing him a cracker and Charon by paying him a golden coin, how to avoid other dangers on the way there and back, and most importantly to eat of no food whatsoever; for otherwise she will dwell forever in the Underworld. Psyche follows the orders explicitly and eats nothing while beneath the earth.
However when Psyche has left the Underworld, she decides to open the box and take a little bit of the beauty for herself. Inside, she can see no beauty; instead an infernal sleep arises from the box and overcomes her. Cupid, who had forgiven Psyche, flies to her, wipes the sleep from her face, puts it back in the box, and sends her back on her way. Then Cupid flies to Mount Olympus and begs Jupiter to aid them. Jupiter calls a full and formal council of the gods and declares that it is his will that Cupid might marry Psyche. Jupiter then has Psyche fetched to Mount Olympus, and gives her a drink made from Ambrosia, granting her immortality. Begrudgingly, Venus and Psyche forgive each other.

Isometric pixel art (aka IPA) is a morden form digital art that has been accepted as a new art form. It created through the used of software where images are edited on the pixel level.

But, pixel art lost some of it use so usually can be found in old computers and video console games, but mobile phone change this. It has low resolution and thn requirea a skillful use if space and memory. It can support pixel and hv nice effect. Not only mobile phone, there are also some portable devices that using pixel now like psp.
The pixel art was forst published by Adele Goldberg and Robert Flegal of Xerox Palo Research center in 1982. Some traditional art forms such as cross-stitch, mosaic and beadwork, bear some similarity to pixel art by constructuring pictures out of small colored units analogous to ehe pixels of modern digital computing.
Pixel art is divided in 2 catagories, isometric pixel and non-isometric pixel. The isometric pixel is commonly seen in games to provide a 3D view. Non-isometric pixel is pixel art that does not fall in the isometric catagory.
